October 9, 2018 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Kootenay Ice News Release

Cranbrook, B.C. - The Kootenay ICE Hockey Club is excited to announce the details of its upcoming Wilderness Camo jersey silent auction.

The silent auction will begin on Friday, October 12 at 6 p.m. and will conclude on Thursday, October 18 at 4 p.m.

The ICE will be wearing one-time only, limited-edition camo jerseys during its game against the Regina Pats on October 12. Each one of a kind, game-worn camo jersey will be part of the silent auction.

There are two ways an individual can place a bid. Those are listed in detail below:

During ICE Home Games

A bid sheet for each Wilderness Camo jersey will be available under the ICE tent on the concourse of Western Financial Place during two home games. Those two games are: October 12 and October 14. Bids can be placed on the spot.

During those two games is the only time that individuals can place bids on a sheet. Beyond the games, those wanting to place a bid can do so at 32 Auctions (information can be found below).

Online at 32 Auctions

The online portion of the silent auction will be available beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 13. Online bidding will end at 4 p.m. on Thursday, October 18th.

Online bidding won't be available during ICE home games but will resume following the game.

A separate article outlining the step-by-step instructions regarding placing a bid online will be released on Thursday.

Shipping costs will be added to the overall purchase price of the jersey for those with a successful bid who don't live in Cranbrook.

Each successful bidder will have the opportunity to get their jersey signed by the player whose name is on the back. That individual will need to contact the ICE if they wish to have it signed.

One-hundred percent of the net proceeds from the silent auction will go towards the ICE Education Fund, which helps support ICE player's post-secondary education.

The next home game for the ICE is Wilderness Camo Jersey Night presented by Silverado Industries on Friday, October 12 against the Regina Pats. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. MT.
