Sox Beat up Zephyrs 11-3

COLORADO SPRINGS - Garin Cecchini picked up three hits and drove home four runs as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox pounded the Zephyrs 11-3. The Sox have won the first two games of the series by a combined score of 24-8.

The Z's got a first inning run with an RBI base hit from David Lough. The lead did not last as the Sox got a two run home run in the second inning from Garrett Cooper to take a 2-1 lead.

Colorado Springs sent nine batters to the plate in the fourth inning, scoring five runs. The Sox had a big night from outfielder Lewis Brinson, four hits in his five at bats, scored twice and drove home three runs.

Hiram Burgos pitched six innings and earned his team-leading tenth win of the season. Kendry Flores allowed seven runs in three and two third innings and took the defeat.

The Zephyrs fall to (67-69) and the Sky Sox improve to (66-67).

*GAME NOTES*

JT Riddle had a hit in four at bats and extended his hitting streak to ten games, matching the season high for the Zephyrs. Riddle has a hit in eleven of twelve games with the Zephyrs. He also has a hit in 42 of his last 45 games counting his play at Class AA Jacksonville.

*ON DECK *

The Zephyrs will play their final road game of the 2016 season on Thursday night at 7:35. New Orleans will start LHP Chris Narveson (4-5, 3.36) against RHP Drew Gagnon (1-1, 6.20).

RADIO: The game will be broadcast on *ROCK 96.3 FM* and streamed at iHeart Radio App.

*THE HOME STAND* The Zephyrs return home Friday night to host the Nashville Sounds in the final home-stand of the season. Friday will be game one of a four game series at 7pm.
