Sounders FC Continues to #KickChildhoodCancer

SEATTLE, WASH. - This evening, Sounders FC continues its goal of supporting Childhood Cancer Awareness Month by taking part in a FIFA 17 launch party and tournament with Seattle Reign FC. Eight Sounders FC players - including Andreas Ivanschitz, Oniel Fisher, Dylan Remick and Darwin Jones - will pair off with eight of Reign FC's athletes to form teams that will vie for the AEF Cup.
Fans and media are encouraged to come out to the Microsoft Store at University Village to watch the action and cheer their favorite pair on to victory. In addition to Ivanschitz, Fisher, Remick and Jones, Seattle players Charlie Lyon, Jordan Schweitzer, Zach Mathers and Matt Bersano are set to participate alongside Reign FC players Jessica Fishlock, Lauren Barnes, Beverly Yanez, Elli Reed, Andi Tostanoski, Stephanie Lee and Carson Pickett, as well as Reign FC Head Coach Laura Harvey.
There will be multiple opportunities for fans to get autographs and photos, along with a collection of raffle prizes to be won, with all proceeds benefitting The Austen Everett Foundation.

Throughout the month of September, Seattle Sounders FC has joined in the league-wide initiative to raise awareness and funds for cancer research and treatment in order to help #KickChildhoodCancer. Tonight's event to benefit The Austen Everett Foundation is a continuation of the month of activities and partnership with community organizations dedicated to the cause.
The Austen Everett Foundation works to inspire, empower and improve the lives of kids battling cancer by Uniting the Fight of extraordinary individuals with professional and collegiate athletic organizations.
