Sound Tigers Sign Rosen to ATO

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Mar. 26, 2013) - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers have announced they have signed defenseman Ben Rosen to an amateur tryout contract (ATO).

Rosen, 24, joins the Sound Tigers after completing his four-year career at Boston University. The Syosset, NY native recorded five goals and one assist in 38 games with the Terriers this season. Over his four seasons at Boston University, Rosen posted 16 points (nine goals, seven assists) in 113 games with the Terriers from 2009-13.

Prior to attending Boston University, Rosen split four seasons of junior hockey between the Eastern Junior Hockey League and the United States Hockey League, compiling 102 points (20 goals, 82 assists) in 157 games between the two leagues.

The Sound Tigers begin a three-game road swing on Thursday night when they travel to the MassMutual Center in Springfield to face the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. The Sound Tigers return to Webster Bank Arena on Saturday, Apr. 6 to square off against the in-state rival Connecticut Whale.
