Sound Tigers Reveal 2018-19 Schedule

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. - The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, have announced their 2018-19 regular-season schedule.
The Sound Tigers will once again present a family and fan-friendly schedule that features 30 of the team's 38 home games on a weekend date. Bridgeport's home schedule includes 14 Saturday nights, 13 Sunday afternoons and three Friday night games. The home opener is slated for Saturday, Oct. 13 at 1 p.m. against the Rochester Americans.
The Sound Tigers will begin the 2018-19 campaign with two games on the road, including the season opener on Saturday, Oct. 6 against the Lehigh Valley Phantoms. The Club then heads 75 miles west for its first meeting of the season against the Hershey Bears on Sunday, Oct. 7.
"We are very excited to announce a schedule that is dominated with weekend home dates and divisional opponents," President Michael Picker said. "Our fans should look forward to the return of the popular theme nights, new promotional events, and special game offerings that will be announced in the near future. The combination of a winning brand of hockey along with a complementary promotional calendar will make Webster Bank Arena the place to be this season."
The team's full promotional schedule with details on Opening Night and all other theme nights will be released later this summer. Single-game tickets will go on sale Friday, August 24 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com, by phone at (800) 745-3000 or at the Webster Bank Arena Click It Or Ticket Box Office. The annual "Cool Fun" school-day game will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 10:30 a.m. against the Binghamton Devils and the "Spring Fun" contest is scheduled for Tuesday, Apr. 2 at 10:30 a.m. against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. In addition, due to the popularity of the early games with local schools and youth organizations, the Sound Tigers have added a "Winter Fun" school-day contest against Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Wednesday, Jan. 23 at 10:30 a.m.
