Young is the 37th player in league history to reach the 3,000 point plateau and the first in San Antonio history. She is the third player from the 2006 draft class to reach 3,000 points, following New York's Cappie Pondexter and Minnesota's Seimone Augustus.

She entered the season ranked 13th all-time on the WNBA scoring list with a 15.9 career points per game average.
Young currently ranks second on the Silver Stars with 14.0 points per game while leading the team with 6.9 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game in 2011.
