Block, 26, has played in 40 games with the Monarchs this season, logging 12 points (3g-9a) and 27 penalty minutes.

The 5-foot-11, 185-pound forward began his professional career with Finland's HIFK Helsinki in the 2013-14 campaign, and split last season with Banska Bystrica of the Slovak Extraliga and the ECHL's Bakersfield Condors, where he accumulated eight points (2g-6a) and four penalty minutes in 14 games.

The Solar Bears continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson, P.A., when they host the Atlanta Gladiators on Friday, Feb. 12 at 7:00 p.m. at the Amway Center.
