Snappers Win in Walk off Fashion

The Beloit Snappers knocked off the Dayton Dragons, 4-3, with a walk off single from Adam Bryant in the bottom of the ninth at Pohlman Field on Sunday afternoon.
Snappers' starter, Tim Shibuya went six and a third innings, allowing five hits, three runs, and had an impressive, eleven strikeouts. The first Snappers run came in the bottom of the fourth with a two-run double by Danny Ortiz scoring Adam Bryant and Miguel Sano. Ortiz to cap off a strong day at the plate, also homered in the bottom of the sixth.
The Dragons plated three runs in the top of the seventh with singles by Danny Vicioso, Juan Silva, Kyle Waldrop, Junior Arias, and Nick O'Shea to tie the score at 3.
Snappers reliever, Michael Tonkin came in to replace Tim Shibuya in the middle of the seventh inning, allowing three hits and no runs. Tonkin was later replaced by lefty Corey Williams in the top of the ninth. Williams went one inning, allowing one hit and no runs, and struck out one, while picking up his first win in his eighth relief appearance.
