Chattanooga Lookouts News Release

Brett Jackson's two-out double in the ninth inning broke a 3-all tie and gave the Tennessee Smokies their fourth straight win over the Chattanooga Lookouts in the season's final series Sunday night at AT&T Field.

John Andreoli led off the ninth with a walk against Lookouts reliever MIchael Thomas (1-1). He was bunted to second, and one out later Jackson broke the tie that completed wiping out an early 3-0 Chattanooga lead.

Fof the Smokies, Javier Baez hit a three-run shot for his 20th homer since arriving in Tennessee, just 53 games ago. For the Cubs' top offensive prospect, the shortstop has 37 homers total for 2013, including 17 in 76 games at Daytona. He has a combined 111 RBIs with the two teams.

The Lookouts had built a 3-0 on single runs in the first, second and third.

Angelo Songco drove in a pair of those runs for the Lookouts, while Rafael Ynoa produced an RBI single in the second. Those runs belonged to starter Duke von Schamann, who took a shutout into the fifth inning before running afoul of Baez.

Chattanooga's starter for Monday's 2:15 season finale has yet to be named following Rob Rasmussen's trade to the Phillies on Saturday. The Lookouts are 58-79 overall going into the game.
