Slammers Reveal New Partner in Plans for 2017 Frontier League

Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy are excited to announce their partnership with Mistwood Golf Club for two events relating to the All-Star Game festivities set for July 10-12, 2017.

Mistwood Golf Club will be the hosting venue for the Frontier League Commissioner Bill Lee's Golf Outing on Tuesday, July 11. The golf outing will run from 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. with lunch on site for golfers. The Home Run Derby will follow and will be held at the Slammers Stadium at 7 p.m. that evening.

In addition, the Slammers will partner with Mistwood to host the Frontier League Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and luncheon in the Grand Ballroom at Joliet Union Station, next to the ballpark. The ceremony and luncheon will be held on Wednesday, July 12 between 11:30 a.m. and 2 p.m with a guest speaker. The All-Star Game will follow later that evening at 7 p.m. at the Slammers stadium.

"We are incredibly excited for the opportunity to be a part of All-Star week," said Dan Bradley, General Manager at Mistwood Golf Club. "The activities the Slammers are planning for the week will bring energy and excitement to Joliet, and we are honored to have Mistwood and the Grand Ballroom at Joliet Union Station be involved."

Frontier League staffs and 2017 All-Stars will be participating in both the golf outing and luncheon, with tickets available to the public for purchase at a later date.

Individual tickets for the Home Run Derby and All-Star game will become available in early spring. Groups of 20 or more receive a significant game discount and can be reserved now by calling the Joliet Slammers Box Office at (815) 722-2287.

The event's return marks 13 years since the last All-Star Game in Joliet. More than 500 fans from more than two hours away in addition to local fans are expected to attend the three days of festivities. The Frontier League All-Star Game is the premier event of the Frontier League each season.
