CHICAGO, Feb. 7, 2012 - Chicago Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman announced today that the team has re-signed Shay Murphy for the 2012 season. Per team policy, Terms of the contract have not been released.
"Shay's energy and passion for the game will always have net positive results for the Sky," said coach Chatman. "She has the ability to score in multiple ways, enjoys the defensive end of the floor and will get her fair share of rebounds. Although she was limited due to injury last season, her impact was duly noted and I'm looking forward to having her back in Chicago."
In 2011, Shay came off the bench for the Sky and was an instant threat when she stepped on the court, providing points for the Sky when they needed them most.
