Six Former Rangers Named to World Cup of Hockey Rosters

Kitchener Rangers News Release
Six former Rangers were named to the final 23-man rosters of their respective teams on Friday for the upcoming World Cup of Hockey 2016.
The tournament begins on September 17, 2016, and takes place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario.
Rangers alumni will be dressing and/or representing four of the eight teams in the tournament, as follows:
(Years as a member of the Rangers are in brackets.)
Team Europe: Mikkel Boedker, Colorado Avalanche ('07-'08), Tobias Rieder, Arizona Coyotes ('10-'13)
Team North America: John Gibson, Anaheim Ducks ('11-'13), Peter DeBoer, San Jose Sharks [Assistant Coach] ('01-'08)
Team Czech Republic: Radek Faksa, Dallas Stars ('11-'14)
Team Sweden: Gabriel Landeskog, Colorado Avalanche ('09-'11)
The four remaining teams participating in the tournament are: Team USA, Team Canada, Team Russia and Team Finland.
