Silvertips Recall Defenseman Gianni Fairbrother

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLsilvertips) of the Western Hockey League and general manager Garry Davidson announced today that defenseman Gianni Fairbrother has been recalled from the Vancouver Northwest Giants of the British Columbia Major Midget League.

Fairbrother, a 2000-born (late birth year category) defenseman, has suited up in one game with the Silvertips this season and made his debut last year in the WHL Playoffs, skating in three games against the Seattle Thunderbirds in second round action.

Currently, the 5-foot-11 and 185-pound defenseman has registered seven assists in 18 games with the Giants. With the Burnaby Winter Club (CSSHL Elite15s) last season, he was named the league's Top Defenseman with 18 points (5g-13a) in 35 games.

Fairbrother was selected by the Silvertips in the fourth round (80th overall) of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft.

NEXT GAME:

The Silvertips return from their holiday break to take on the Vancouver Giants in Langley, tomorrow at 7:00pm (1380 AM / 95.3 FM / Tips App), and then come back home Wednesday, Dec. 28 to face the Giants again, with a puck drop of 7:05 pm at XFINITY Arena for Midweek Madness.
