Silver Stars Acquire Additional 2013 Draft Pick

SAN ANTONIO - The San Antonio Silver Stars have acquired a 2013 second-round draft pick from the Chicago Sky, head coach and general manager Dan Hughes announced today. Chicago acquired the rights to Serbian forward Sonja Petrovic in exchange.

Petrovic was originally selected by San Antonio in the second round (26th overall) of the 2009 WNBA Draft but did not sign a WNBA contract. She currently plays internationally for Russia's Spartak VMR.

The Silver Stars open the 2012 season on May 19 at Tulsa before tipping off the home schedule against the Chicago Sky on May 30 at 7 p.m. Ticket plans for the 2012 season start at $180 and are available online at SASilverStars.com or by calling (210) 444-5090.
