PREVIEW: The Delmarva Shorebirds were throttled 15-2 last night by the Suns, who recorded 19 hits. The Suns scored the most runs against the Shorebirds last year, when they plated 17 in game one of a doubleheader at Municipal Stadium on August 30. The last time the Shorebirds lost by at least 13 runs was on April 12, 2007 when the Hagerstown Suns beat the 'Birds 14-1 in a game that was called after five innings.

SAL LEAD IN HR'S: The Shorebirds lead the South Atlantic League in home runs with ten. Kolodny is tied for the league lead with three long balls.

BACK AT PERDUE: Butler is making his return to Perdue Stadium tonight. His last start in Salisbury, Md. came on June 19, 2008 against the Hagerstown Suns. He was tagged with the loss in three innings.

TAKE YOUR BASE: The Shorebirds are tied for the South Atlantic League lead with 34 walks this season. Last night, the 'Birds were handed just two free passes.

JUSTIN DALLES HIT STREAK: Shorebirds catcher Justin Dalles puts his seven-game hit streak on the line in game two against Hagerstown. He has recorded a hit in each game that he has played in this season. The seven-gamer is a career best for Dalles. His season long streak last season in Aberdeen was five (7/28-8/2).
