Sholl Traded to Evansville, Passingham and Cameron Return from ECHL

Mayhem open spots for Passingham and Cameron; trade Sholl, place Denomme on IR

MACON, GA- The Macon Mayhem and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin Kerr announced today that the team has traded goaltender Tomas Sholl to the Evansville Thunderbolts. Goaltender Troy Passingham and forward Caleb Cameron have also signed contracts to join the Mayhem after short stints in the ECHL.

TOMAS SHOLL TRADED TO EVANSVILLE

Sholl, 23, was the Mayhem's opening night starter and started two of the team's first four games. In those two games, the Hermosa Beach, California native went 0-1-1 with a 4.43 goals against average (GAA) and a .842 save percentage (SV%).

Trading Sholl to Evansville clears space on the Mayhem roster for goaltender Troy Passingham to return, as he was released by the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL. The Mississauga, Ontario native was loaned to Atlanta the opening week of the season on Wednesday, October 18.

Last season, the 6-5, 215-pound goaltender served as the backup to President's Cup Playoffs MVP Jordan Ruby. He appeared in 15 games last season, going 8-3-2 with a 2.68 GAA and a .917 SV%.

CALEB CAMERON SIGNS CONTRACT WITH MAYHEM

After a short stint with the Adirondack Thunder of the ECHL, forward Caleb Cameron has signed a contract to join the Mayhem. Cameron signed a try-out agreement with the Mayhem on September 28, but he was signed to Adirondack's training camp roster on October 2 and awarded a spot on the team's regular season roster.

Cameron, 24, played one game for the Thunder, recording no points. The 5-10, 185-pound forward played four years collegiately for Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) at the NCAA Division I level. In 131 games at RIT, the Sundridge, Ontario native had 20 goals and 38 assists for 58 points.

IN OTHER NEWS

The Mayhem have placed right winger Dylan Denomme on the 21-Day Injured Reserve. In two games this season, he has recorded no points and a minus-two rating.
