Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa Shock have selected Skylar Diggins with the third overall pick in the WNBA Draft. Diggins, a guard, at Notre Dame finished her career averaging 15.7 points per game. Diggins owns Notre Dame career records for points, steals, free throws made, free throws attempted, games started, minutes played, double-figure scoring games and triple-doubles. A four-time All-American, three-time NCAA regional Most Outstanding Player and two-time BIG EAST Player of the Year, Diggins is the only player in school history to earn all of these honors.
"Skylar is a natural leader who is someone we are excited to build our team around at the guard position," Shock President Steve Swetoha said. "Her style, intelligence and excitement for the game offensively and defensively is infectious and it is going to be fun to see her play in this lineup."

The Shock's home opener will be May 27th against the Washington Mystics at the BOK Center. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN2.
