Shock Assigned Huntley, Jorden and Kinnie
SPOKANE, WA (November 6, 2012) - The Shock have been assigned offensive lineman Rodney Huntley, wide receiver Kamar Jorden, and wide receiver Brandon Kinnie to the 2013 roster.
Huntley, a product of the University of Texas-El Paso, was a standout offensive lineman for the Miners. In 2009, his junior season at UTEP, Huntley started all 12 games and recorded 36 knockdowns to help the Miner's offense set new school records in total yards (5,144) and yards per game (428.7).
"Huntley proved during his College career that he is a tough and reliable offensive lineman. We're looking forward to seeing him compete in camp," said Shock Head Coach Andy Olson.
Jorden, a wide receiver out of Bowling Green University, joins the 2013 Shock roster for his rookie season in the Arena Football League. At BGU, Jorden started in 24 games in two seasons for the Falcons and recorded 174 receptions for 2,198 yards with 16 touchdowns; and earned first-team All-Mid Atlantic Conference honors.
"Kamar Jorden has elite ball skills and is one of those guys that is always able to come down with the ball in traffic," said Shock General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden.
Kinnie, a wide receiver out of Nebraska University, played three seasons for the Cornhuskers as he recorded 81 receptions for 892 yards and four touchdowns. In his junior season at NU, Kinnie led the team with 44 receptions for 494 yards which included breaking a single-game record in touchdown receptions (3).
"Kinnie is a very physical wide receiver that can get a great release on the line of scrimmage and has the speed to run past and size to go through you if needed," said Shock General Manager Ryan Rigmaiden.
