Sharks Close Out Regular Season Against Steel

JACKSONVILLE - The (11-0) Jacksonville Sharks seek to pull off a perfect record for the regular season as they take on the (6-4) Monterrey Steel at the Shark Tank for 80's Night on Saturday, June 17 at 7 p.m.

The Sharks won their most recent game against the High Country Grizzlies 66-18. The Sharks excelled at taking down Grizzlies' quarterback Dennis Harvilla. The new additions to the Sharks roster showed that they're ready for blood, as quarterback Jason Boltus took over for Damien Fleming in the second half and wide receiver Ify Umodu scored two touchdowns for the night. The Sharks' defense held High Country to their lowest score all season.

The Steel most recently lost a close game to the Columbus Lions 49-42 making the Steel the number four seed for the playoffs and allowing the Sharks to face the Steel for the playoffs Saturday, June 24. The Sharks last played the Steel in Week 10, coming out with a 42-13 win, which was the second lowest-scoring game the Sharks have had all season. This is the third time the Sharks will face the Steel this season.

In order to win, the Sharks must come in defensively prepared. The Steel have recently become a more high-scoring teams in the NAL, putting the most points on the board during their previous two games. It's crucial that they put pressure on the Steel's quarterback, and that they capitalize on the opportunity when turnovers occur. The Sharks offensive line will have their hands full as the Steel lead the league in sacks with 44 total so far this season.

This game will be broadcasted on CW-17 for those in the Jacksonville area. Additionally, the game will be available on YouTube Live and iHeart Radio (97.3FM). A link for YouTube to the live feed will be available on nationalarenaleague.com and will be provided on Shark's social media prior to kickoff.
