Sharks Announce Partnership with iHeartMedia

JACKSONVILLE - The Jacksonville Sharks announced today that they will be partnering with iHeartMedia Jacksonville to broadcast the upcoming 2017 season's games on 97.3Planet Radio, Jacksonville's Real Rock station. The partnership will also include live streaming of all Jacksonville Sharks games on 97.3 Planet Radio's website and on iHeartRadio, the all-in-one digital music and live streaming radio service.

"We are extremely excited to partner with iHeartMedia Jacksonville this season," said Operating Manager Jeff Bouchy. "Allowing our fans to stream the play-by-play audio nationwide or listen on 97.3 Planet Radio locally gives great access to Sharks fans everywhere."

During the final season ticket push in early February through mid-March, WQIK and 93.3 The Beat are offering special season ticket specials to their listeners. Special sections have been designated for the two radio station brands. Section 108 will become the WQIK section and Section 109 will become the 93.3 The Beat section. Any season tickets purchased with a special listener code from these stations will receive FREE Sharks and WQIK or 93.3 The Beat branded tees. Additionally, station celebrities Brad from WQIK and T-Roy from 93.3 The Beat will sit in their respective sections during all home games and party with their fans.

During the season, iHeartMedia Jacksonville's eight radio station brands will be hosting multiple ticket giveaways during their own segments throughout the season. Seth Harp from Sports Radio 930AM will be hosting this years Shark Bytes, a radio segment which will be held every week Monday-Friday at 4:45 p.m. This year's Shark Bytes segments include game discussions, Sharks news, theme nights and upcoming games. Additionally, a Sharks' player, coach or front office person will appear live on every Thursday of home game weeks.
