Shane Harper to Join Trenton

Adirondack Phantoms News Release
The Philadelphia Flyers have announced that forward Shane Harper has been reassigned to the Trenton Titans (ECHL) from Adirondack.
Harper, 23, is a third-year pro from Valencia, California. The speedy right-winger has scored three goals in 23 games playing for the Phantoms this season. He had 13 goals and 14 assists last year for Adirondack while seeing action in 70 games.
Harper's highlight came January 6, 2012 when he scored the overtime game-winner in the Outdoor Classic in front of over 45,000 crazed fans at Citizens' Bank Park in Philadelphia. He called it the biggest goal of his life.
Phantoms head coach Terry Murray said he likes the possibilities for the future with Harper. "He just needs to get his game going. He's a player who can bring offense, he can score goals. I'm aware of his resume from last year. He has not been able to break in there on a regular basis in a top six situation where in my opinion he should be."
Harper thrived in the ECHL two seasons ago with Greenville, SC where he scored 22 goals and 45 points in just 48 games.
Murray said the ECHL will provide an opportunity for his young prospect. "Sometimes it's an individual confidence that is lacking. In and out of the lineup and it's hard to get your game on track. He'll get into a situation now where he can play a lot. Play important situations and all situations. I think that's important for a skilled player and scoring player to be able to recover that confidence and get himself going."
The Phantoms play back-to-back games against Connecticut this weekend traveling to Hartford on Friday night and then returning or a home matchup in Glens Falls on Saturday night featuring Phantoms drawstring backpacks for first 1,000 kids presented by UniFirst.
