Portland Winterhawks News Release
Hockey Canada announced on Tuesday that Winterhawks forward Seth Jarvis has been named on the Canadian roster for the 2018 World U-17 Challenge.
"It's an unbelievable honor to get the chance to wear the maple leaf," Jarvis said. "It's something I will never forget."
Jarvis is one of 19 Western Hockey League players who will compete for Canada from November 3-10 in New Brunswick. The Winnipeg native was drafted 11th overall by Portland in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.
"It's a great opportunity for any player to participate in a world class international tournament and we're very proud of Seth," Vice President, General Manager and Head Coach Mike Johnston said.
Through nine games this season, Jarvis has three goals and three assists for six points.
