Seeing RED

June 9, 2017 - National Arena League (NAL)
Jacksonville Sharks News Release

JACKSONVILLE- The Jacksonville Sharks owners of a 10-0 record, have earned home field advantage for at least the first-round of the inaugural National Arena League Playoffs. This is the first Sharks home playoff game since 2014. The game is set for a 7pm kickoff on Saturday, June 24th at the Veterans Memorial Arena. If the Sharks win this weekend against the High Country Grizzlies (3-6), the Sharks would clinch home field throughout the postseason. If the Sharks win their first round playoff game, the Sharks would then host the inaugural NAL Championship Game on Monday, July 10, 8pm.

The Sharks are offering a one-of-a-kind, Buy One Get One Free playoff ticket offer for any fan that purchases two or more adult tickets to the final two home games of the regular season. The two remaining home games consist of the June 10th game against the High Country Grizzlies for Christmas in June presented by Clay Eye and the following week, for 80's Night against the Monterrey Steel, sponsored by the Duval County Supervisor of Elections. This Buy One Get One Free playoff ticket offer is valid for Red, Blue, Brown, and Green sections only and cannot be combined with another ticket offer. To purchase your two adult tickets for either home game so you can earn your playoff BOGO deal call 904-621-0700 or visit the arena box office during the week or on game day.

The Sharks are planning to RED OUT the arena for the June 24th playoff game by encouraging fans to wear red as the Sharks will face one of four teams for a chance to advance to the NAL Championship game.

"The Playoff RED OUT is in full effect, so WEAR RED to the games and help the Sharks bring home another title, said Executive VP of Ticketing Steve Curran. It is now time to get behind our city and our team and most of all it's time to BLEED RED."

Currently, the playoff seeding is Jacksonville (#1), Lehigh Valley (#2), Columbus Lions (#3) and the Monterrey Steel (#4). This weekend Columbus travels to Monterrey with seeding implications on the line. If Monterrey wins, they would move into the #3 seed and have to beat Jacksonville the last week of the season to guarantee that seed. If Columbus wins Monday night, then Columbus and Monterrey would be locked into the #3 and #4 seeds, respectively.

The Lehigh Valley Steelhawks (9-1) have clinched at least the #2 seed and will host the #3 seed on Friday June 23 at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA. If Jacksonville loses their last two games and Lehigh Valley wins its last game, then the Steelhawks would claim the #1 seed.

The highest remaining seed after the first round of playoffs will host the NAL Championship Game.
