Kannapolis Cannon Ballers News Release

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. - Right-handed pitcher Tyler Danish, the Chicago White Sox second round pick (55th overall) in the June 2013 First-Year Player Draft, has been promoted from Advanced Rookie Bristol to the Class A Kannapolis Intimidators. Danish, who turns 19 in September, went 1-0 with a 1.38 ERA (4 ER/26 IP) with 22 strikeouts and five walks in 13 games (one start) in the Appalachian League.

Danish becomes the fifth member of the White Sox 2013 draft class to join the Kannapolis roster, giving the Intimidators Chicago's top three picks. He joins first round pick Tim Anderson (17th overall) and third round selection Jacob May (91st overall), along with fellow 2013 draftees Brad Goldberg (10th round) and Andre Wheeler (15th round).

The White Sox selected Danish out of Durant High School in Valrico, Fla., where he threw 94 innings without allowing an earned run during his senior season, pitching his team to the Florida 8A state final.

The Intimidators return to CMC-NorthEast Stadium today to open a six- game home stand with three games against both the Savannah Sand Gnats (Mets) and Rome Braves (Braves). The Intimidators play at CMC- NorthEast Stadium, located off I-85 at exit 63.
