SeaWolves Storm Back to Walk-Off against Richmond

ERIE, Pa.Harold Castro's walk-off double gave the SeaWolves their eighth win in nine games Tuesday night over the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

Richmond jumped on top first with a solo homer from C.J. Hinojosa off of Tyler Alexander.

Erie immediately responded with a solo blast from Kody Eaves in the home half of the first to tie the game at 1-1.

Squirrels reliever Vic Black loaded the bases in the fifth and walked in Grayson Greiner to put Erie on top 2-1.

Richmond's K.C. Hobson smoked a two-run triple to right field in the sixth to give the Squirrels the lead once again at 3-2.

With runners on the corners and no outs in the eighth, Zack Cox hit into a double play that allowed Dominic Ficociello to score from third to knot it up once again at 3-3.

After Bryan Garcia struck out two in the top of the ninth, Erie came to bat with the score still tied in the bottom of the ninth. Wade Hinkle reached on a fielder's choice, which brought Harold Castro up to the plate. The centerfielder smoked a double on Cody Hall, driving in Hinkle to give Erie the 4-3 win.

Garcia (1-1) earned his first career win in the Eastern League, while Cody Hall (2-2) suffered the loss.

The SeaWolves and Squirrels head back to UPMC Park for the rubber match Wednesday at 12:05 PM. RHP A.J. Ladwig (7-1, 3.70 ERA) will start for Erie against Richmond's RHP Dan Slania (1-1, 3.13 ERA).

Wednesday is Summer Camp Day at UPMC Park, and summer camps from all around Erie as well as senior centers and businesses will head out to the ball game for this noon start.

It is also AAA Wednesday, where AAA members can receive $2 off on their ticket. Pennsylvania Lottery will also sponsor Winner Wednesday, where four lucky fans (ages 18 and up) will receive a SeaWolves prize pack.
