SHERBROOKE, QC - The Saint John Sea Dogs have recalled defenceman Zachary Leclerc from the Chambly Forts of the Ligue de Hockey Junior AAA du Quebec (LHJAAAQ).

The 17-year-old from Ste-Catherine, Quebec, has one goal and 16 assists for 17 points in 39 games in his first season with the Forts.

He was selected by Saint John in the sixth round (109th overall) of the 2017 QMJHL Entry Draft. He made his QMJHL debut December 29th against the Moncton Wildcats. He has played two games with Saint John so far this season.

Leclerc is expected to remain with the Sea Dogs for the team's three-game road trip in Quebec.

Saint John also announced goaltender Tommy Da Silva has been reassigned to the College Charles-Lemoyne Riverains of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League (LHMAAAQ).

The 17-year-old native of La Prairie, Quebec, made his QMJHL debut against the Shawinigan Cataractes on Saturday.
