Sea Dogs Recall D Thomas Ashe

SAINT JOHN - The Saint John Sea Dogs have recalled defenceman Thomas Ashe from the Amherst Ramblers of the Maritime Hockey League (MHL).

Ashe, 17, is in his first season with the Ramblers, posting one goal and 24 penalty minutes in 18 games. The Dieppe-native played in two preseason games with Saint John at the 2017 Rookie Challenge tournament.

Listed at 6'0" and 182 lbs., he was originally selected by the Sea Dogs in the ninth round (159th overall) of the 2016 QMJHL Entry Draft. He spent the past two seasons with the Moncton Flyers of the New Brunswick-PEI Major Midget Hockey League (NBPEIMMHL).

Ashe will join the team in time for its next game on Wednesday, November 22nd, at 7 p.m. against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles at Centre 200. Listen LIVE on 96.1 NewSong FM or newsongfm.ca . Watch LIVE on Neulion .
