GETTING INTERESTING : The Sea Dogs trail the Trenton Thunder by four games for the final playoff spot with eight games remaining in the regular season...Tonight, Portland continues their four-game series against the third-place New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays affiliate) at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium...With a win tonight, the 'Dogs will move into a tie for third place with New Hampshire...LHP Henry Owens, the #5 Prospect in the Red Sox system according to Baseball America, makes his second start of the trip.

J.C. STANDS FOR JUST CRUSHED : RF J.C. Linares hit two 3-run homers off losing pitcher RHP Randy Boone (3-3), rallying the Sea Dogs past the Fisher Cats 10-5...Linares gave Portland the lead for good, nailing his first homer in the seventh inning, with two outs and the 'Dogs trailing 6-5...His second homer was the icing on the cake in the ninth inning with one out...LHP Mickey Pena allowed five runs over 6.2 IP, but earned his first Double-A win...RHP Noe Ramirez worked the final 2.1 innings for his fifth save of the season...The top 5 hitters in Portland's lineup had two hits.
