Sea Dogs Announce 'Design-A-Jersey' Contest
SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs President Wayne Long announced today that the team will be holding a special 'Design-A-Jersey' contest which will afford fans the opportunity to create a special third jersey for the team to wear during the 2011-12 season.
"This will be our first-ever third jersey and we really want our fans to be a part of the creative process as we develop a unique and captivating design that our franchise and city can be proud of," says Long. "We're looking forward to seeing what our fans come up with."
Fans may use whatever artistic tools (crayons, paint, etc.) they see fit in designing their jerseys. All entries should be sent to: DESIGN-A-JERSEY CONTEST c/o Saint John Sea Dogs / 99 Station St., Suite 200 / Saint John, NB / E2L 4X4 or delivered in person to the team office at Harbour Station. Entries will also be accepted at Sea Dogs Central (Section S, Harbour Station concourse) at all upcoming home games. Blank jersey design templates are available for download at www.saintjohnseadogs.com.
All entries will be evaluated by Sea Dogs front office personnel, who may submit one of the designs to Reebok and the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for approval. The deadline to submit an entry is Monday, March 1 at 4pm. The fan whose design is chosen as the winning entry will receive a Sea Dogs Prize Pack.
