Screaming Eagles Announce Opening Night Roster for 2018-2019 Season

SYDNEY- The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles have announced their 22 man roster for opening night of the 2018-2019 QMJHL season. The club has reassigned forward Ben Allison, bringing the final roster to 13 forwards, seven defensemen, and two goaltenders.

18 returning QMJHL players are part of the Screaming Eagles opening night roster, including three who were acquired by trade in the off-season (Antoine Crete-Belzile, Wilson Forest, Mitchell Balmas). 11 players on the opening night roster were originally drafted by the Screaming Eagles, while 11 were acquired by trade. There are four rookies on the opening night roster (Alex Drover, Liam Kidney, Félix Lafrance, William Grimard), the latter two whom were acquired in trades.

Drover is the lone 16 year old player on the opening night group. The roster also includes six 17 year old players, seven 18 year old players, five 19 year old players, and three 20 year old players.
