Savannah Purchases the Steam

The X-League has completed the sale of the Pennsylvania Steam today, with new ownership assuming operations immediately.
The new ownership is based in Savannah, GA and has renamed the team the Savannah Steam. The Steam will play the remaining away games on the Steam Schedule. At the end of the 2014 Season the Steam will officially relocate to Savannah, GA for the 2015 season.
The Steam travel to Birmingham, AL to take on the Alabama Outlawz on Friday, April 11th. They will finish off the 2014 season in May with a trip to Dalton, GA to play the Georgia Rampage on May 12th, and finally to St. Louis to challenge the Attack on Friday May 23rd.
"It's great to be able to add another team in the South for 2015 and it will help the X-League with its geographic footprint." said Commissioner Mink. "The Reading Market and Ownership group couldn't recover from the MISL Pennsylvania Roar's Season in order to continue in 2014. It's very unfortunate, but it is best to make the responsible decision to understand the problem and deal with it now."
The X-league Features two games on Friday night with the Florida Marine Raiders at St. Louis Attack in a First Place match up. The newly purchased Steam will play at Alabama Outlawz, as Bama defends home ground. For more information visit xleaguefootball.com or download our mobile application.
