Saturday Broadcasts Return to 89.5 the Lake

WINNIPEG, MB - The Winnipeg Goldeyes are pleased to announce the continuation of their radio partnership with Kenora-based CJRL-FM "89.5 The Lake" as a network affiliate for the 2017 season.

"89.5 The Lake" will once again carry all 16 of the Goldeyes' regular season Saturday broadcasts, the first of which is scheduled for May 20th against the expansion Cleburne Railroaders.

"We are very proud to continue our partnership with '89.5 The Lake,' and excited to provide our loyal listeners with extended Goldeyes coverage throughout the season," said Goldeyes' general manager Andrew Collier. "Last year, the partnership was welcomed by Kenora residents, as well as Winnipeggers traveling to the area. We look forward to even more fans having the opportunity to enjoy our broadcasts."

All Goldeyes' spring training, regular season, and potential playoff broadcasts will still be carried on 93.7 FM CJNU in Winnipeg.

"Hopefully that is the case again this year as Goldeyes fans in Kenora and Lake of the Woods area will be cheering the team on to victory in 2017! A member of Acadia Broadcasting Limited, CJRL-FM "89.5 The Lake" is based out of Kenora, Ontario, and broadcasts to a 110-kilometer radius that includes Whiteshell, Lake of the Woods, Kenora, Clearwater Bay, Sioux Narrows, and Nestor Falls. Playing classic hits and today's favourites, "89.5 The Lake" has been part of the "Lake Life" in Kenora since 1938. Acadia Broadcasting is based out of Saint John New Brunswick, and currently operates 12 radio stations, including five in Northwestern Ontario.
