TULSA, Okla. - The Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the Tulsa 66ers 105-90 Saturday night, closing out a back-to-back road swing with another double digit victory.
The Santa Cruz Warriors were paced by Darington Hobson, who recorded a season-high 16 points and dished out a team-high five assists. Hilton Armstrong had the only double-double of the night with 14 points and a season-high 14 rebounds, along with a game-high three blocks. Stefhon Hannah also scored 16 points, while Edwin Ubiles and Travis Leslie each chipped in with 15.
The Tulsa 66ers were led by Rasual Butler, who scored a game-high 22 points. Dominique Sutton grabbed 11 rebounds, while Chris Quinn had a game-high nine assists.
Tulsa held its largest lead at 14 with 4:09 left to play in the second quarter, but the Warriors went on a 12-0 run to close the half and cut the deficit to two. A strong third quarter, powered by Darington Hobson who scored 11 of his 16 points in that frame, helped propel the Warriors to the lead. A 14-0 run in the fourth quarter sealed the game for Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz held the edge on shooting percentage (51.3%-40.5%) and points in the paint (54-36), but each team had 41 rebounds.
