San Diego Sockers Announce 2010-11 Schedule

San Diego Sockers News Release
The San Diego Sockers today announced their complete 2010-2011 schedule of games, as the Sockers begin defense of their 2009-2010 PASL-Pro North American Championship. San Diego will open their season on the road against the rival California Cougars at the Stockton Arena on Sunday, November 14th at 3:05pm. The Sockers will host the Tacoma Stars in the home opener at the Del Mar Arena on Saturday November 20th at 6:15pm.
Road trips to Louisville, Cincinnati, Tacoma and Tijuana highlight the Sockers' PASL-Pro schedule of away games. The Sockers will also play a total of three games against teams from the Canadian Major Indoor Soccer League (CMISL) as part of their 16-game regular season slate. San Diego will host teams from Winnipeg and Edmonton, while traveling to Victoria, British Columbia.
The Sockers will play PASL-Pro Western Division rivals California and Revolucion Tijuana four times each, while squaring off against Tacoma twice in a home-and-home series.
In addition, the Sockers will take on top indoor teams from around the country when they attempt to defend their 2009-2010 U.S. Open championship. The Sockers' first US Open match is set for Wednesday, December 29th at the Del Mar Arena against a qualifying opponent to be determined. Additional US Open matches will be added to the schedule if the Sockers advance.
The PASL-Pro North American Championships are tentatively scheduled for early March at the Del Mar Arena. Dates and times are subject to change.
