Sim finished off a centering feed from Drew Shore, lifting a one-timer past Matt Hackett for the 1-0 San Antonio lead.

After a scoreless second period, Houston tied the game 1-1 at 13:36 third period. The shot bounced past goalie Dov Grumet Morris for Granlund's eighth goal of the year. Defensemen Brian Connelly and Chay Genoway each had an assist on the five-on-three power-play goal.

The two teams skated to overtime tied 1-1, but San Antonio scored in the first minute of the extra session. Right wing Greg Rallo scooped up the puck off the end boards in the Houston zone and slipped it past Hackett for the game-winning goal.
