The Grizzlies would tie it up moments later when Vladimir Nikiforov tipped a pass up-and-in over Boutin. Victoria would retake the lead when newly acquired Curtis Billsten found the back of the net. Utah would score their third goal of the period when Verbeek tipped home a point shot for a power play marker. The game was tied 3-3 going into the third.

Utah pressed in the final period, but Boutin was solid in the Salmon Kings net. Victoria capitalized late while on a 5-on-3 power play when former Grizzly Olivier Labelle fired a puck past Mole. Salmon Kings 4 Grizzlies 3.
