Salinas, Lamarre Promoted from Dragons

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster moves today:

Right-handed pitcher Doug Salinas and outfielder Ryan LaMarre have been promoted from Dayton to the Lynchburg Hillcats of the Carolina League.

The Dragons roster now stands at 23 players, two below the Midwest League limit.

Salinas (suh-LEEN-us) has appeared in 23 games for the Dragons this season (all in relief), posting a record of 3-3 with a 2.38 earned run average. He has seven saves to tie for the team lead. Salinas has earned the save in five of the last seven Dragons victories including two of the three wins in the current series with Lake County. In the month of August, Salinas has logged an ERA of 0.68, allowing just one earned run in 13.1 innings while striking out 22 and limiting opposing batters to a .170 average.

LaMarre (luh-MARR) has played in 60 games for the Dragons since being selected in the second round of the 2010 draft out of the University of Michigan. He is batting .282 with five home runs, 29 runs batted in, and 18 stolen bases.

The Dragons play at home tonight (Tuesday) against the Lake County Captains at 7:00 p.m. at Fifth Third Field. They begin a seven-game road trip Wednesday at South Bend at 6:30 p.m.
