SALDA MAKES NHL CENTRAL SCOUTING MIDTERM RANKINGS

SAINT JOHN - Saint John Sea Dogs defenceman Radim Salda is listed among the top prospects for the 2018 NHL Draft on midterm rankings released today.

The NHL's Central Scouting Service (CSS) unveiled its top 31 North American Goaltenders and top 217 North American Skaters. Salda is ranked 53rd on the Skaters' list .pdf].

The 18-year-old from Pardubice, Czech Republic, has eight goals and 21 assists for 29 points in his first year with the Sea Dogs. He leads all QMJHL rookie defencemen in assists and points, and is tied for first in goals.

The 2018 NHL Entry Draft will be held June 22nd and 23rd at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

Saint John's next game is Friday, January 26th, at 7 p.m. against the Acadie-Bathurst Titan at the KC Irving Regional Centre.

The Sea Dogs' next home game is Friday, February 2nd, at 7 p.m. against the Charlottetown Islanders at Harbour Station.
