Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release
DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Fighting Saints have added another player as the team's busy week continues. Dubuque picked up Verners Egle yesterday after he was dropped by the Madison Capitols. Last season with Madison, Egle had 12 goals and 19 points in 47 games. Egle adds size and experience to the Fighting Saints lineup.
The 6' 2'', 192 pound forward has recorded 91 games of USHL experience during his career. Egle is still just 19 years old.
"Verners is a USHL veteran and this will be his third year in the league," General Manager Kalle Larsson said. "He has good size and is strong on the puck. We hope his experience will add depth to our group of forwards."
With Egle entering the lineup, the Fighting Saints assigned Levi Stauber to the Austin Bruins of the NAHL. The move comes just a few days before the team must submit their official roster for the 2018-19 season. Egle is expected to join the Fighting Saints immediately.
