Sagu to be Inducted into Baltimore Blast Hall of Fame

Baltimore, MD - The Baltimore Blast announced today that former player, Sagu, will be inducted into the Baltimore Blast Hall of Fame. To date, Kenny Cooper, Stan Stamenkovic, Mike Stankovic, Bruce Savage, Tim Wittman, Joey Fink, Dave MacWilliams, Heinz Wirtz, Keith Van Eron, Dominic Mobilio, Billy Ronson, Richard Chinapoo, Pat Ercoli, Cris Vaccaro, Doug Neely, Danny Counce, Rusty Troy, Earl Foreman, Tarik Walker, Denison Cabral, Lance Johnson, and Danny Kelly have been inducted into the Hall of Fame. Sagu will be honored in a ceremony during halftime of the Saturday, February 24th game.

Baltimore Blast owner Ed Hale said "When Sagu would play us when he was on the Dallas Sidekicks, it was clear that he was the leader and a gifted goalie. We were happy to have him on our team to help us win championships. He's a great guy."

- 2009 MISL Championship MVP

- 4-time First Team All-League (2007-08, 2008-09, 2010-11, 2011-12)

- 3-time Second Team All-League (2005-06, 2006-07, 2009-10)

- 4th all-time by a Blast goalkeeper in games played, saves, and save percentage

-   3rd all-time in regular season wins by a Blast goalkeeper

-   T-3rd all-time in postseason wins by a Blast goalkeeper

- 5th all-time in postseason games played by a Blast goalkeeper

The Blast end their regular season home schedule with games on February 23rd and 24th. Tickets are on sale now for both games. The game on Friday, February 23rd at 7:35 p.m. against the Milwaukee Wave will feature a Vini Dantas bobble head giveaway to the first 1,000 fans ages 18 and over. The game on Saturday, February 24th at 6:05p.m. against the Florida Tropics will feature the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at halftime as well as Fan Appreciation Night.
