Sacramento Republic FC Select Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps as First Grant Recipient

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento Republic FC have selected the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps as the first recipient of a grant from the Glory Glory Sacramento Fund. The grant to be awarded in the amount of $20,000. The Conservation Corps will be recognized at halftime of Republic FC's match against Orange County Blues FC on Saturday, Apr. 30.
"We are pleased to award our first Glory Glory Sacramento grant to the Sacramento Regional Conservation Corps," said Republic FC Executive Vice President and Co-Founder Joe Wagoner. "We are privileged to be in the position to shed light on such a great organization. The Conservations Corps wholly embodies the Glory Glory Sacramento pillars of education, youth leadership and wellness."
Founded in 1984 by the Sacramento Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, the Conservation Corps provides at-risk young adults ages 18-25 an opportunity to succeed beyond their circumstances. The Conservation Corps provides a development program that integrates education, job skills training and work experience on conservation projects and service opportunities that are mutually beneficial to the Corps members and the region as a whole.
The Glory Glory Sacramento Fund was created to celebrate and elevate nonprofits that share the same indomitable spirit as our region and provides individual grants up to $20,000. Sacramento-region nonprofits that support education, health/wellness or youth leadership may apply.
Republic FC will select grant recipients prior to each of their remaining home matches as a part of the Glory Glory Sacramento Fund. Grant applications will be accepted until Sunday, May 15.
Sacramento region nonprofits may apply for a grant from the Glory Glory Sacramento Fund at SacRepublicFC.com/community/glory-glory-sacramento.
