Sacramento Republic FC Announce Training Camp and Preseason Schedule

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento Republic FC will begin their 2016 training camp on Monday, Feb. 1, at Cosumnes River College. The club will train in Sinaloa, Mexico, from Feb. 5-11 and added exhibition matches versus PDL clubs Burlingame Dragons FC, Fresno Fuego and Ventura County Fusion, NPSL club Sonoma County Sol, Sacramento State and UC Santa Barbara in preparation for the 2016 USL season.

Players and select trialists will report to training camp at Cosumnes River College on Monday, Feb. 1. The club will train in Sacramento for four days before traveling to Sinaloa, Mexico for an intensive weeklong training session. The club will be training at a facility that is used by Liga MX clubs Santos Laguna, Club Tijuana and Dorados de Sinaloa. The time in Mexico will give the players a unique opportunity to prepare for the season as a team. The club will return to Sacramento on Thursday, Feb. 11.

Sacramento Republic FC will play MLS opponents the Colorado Rapids on Feb. 13 and the club's MLS affiliate the San Jose Earthquakes on Feb. 20 in preseason friendlies. Both MLS friendlies will take place at Bonney Field. Tickets for the MLS friendlies go on sale on Jan. 21.

Sacramento Republic FC will play six additional exhibitions before the start of the 2016 USL season. Sacramento Republic FC will take on the San Jose Earthquakes official PDL affiliate, Burlingame Dragons FC, on Feb. 17, Sacramento State on Feb. 24, the Sonoma County Sol (NPSL) on Feb. 27, Fresno Fuego (PDL) on Mar. 3, UC Santa Barbara on Mar. 5 and Ventura County Fusion (PDL) on Mar. 6.

Times and dates subject to change with additional exhibitions to be announced. The last open tryouts of the offseason will take place at Cosumnes River College Jan. 30-31.
