Sabres Recall Hudson Fasching from Rochester

Rochester, NY- The Buffalo Sabres announced today the team has recalled forward Hudson Fasching from the Rochester Americans. In a corresponding move, the Amerks have also recalled defenseman Brycen Martin and forward Justin Kea from the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
Fasching, 21, joins the Sabres for the second time this season after playing six games for the team in October. In 13 career NHL games, the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, native has posted one goal and one assist. Currently in the midst of his first full professional season, Fasching has eight points (6+2) in 25 games for the Amerks during 2016-17.
Martin, 20, has appeared in four games with the Amerks while also recording seven points (2+5) in 34 appearances with the Jackals this season. The 6-foot-2, 200-pound blueliner recorded the first two points of his pro career as part of a two-assist effort against Brampton on Nov. 12 and scored his first pro goal a week later in a 5-3 loss to the Beast on Nov. 19.
The Calgary, Alberta, native was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round (74th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
Kea, 23, rejoins the Amerks after notching four points (2+2) over 11 games during a previous stint in Rochester earlier this season. He registered the first two-goal game of his career in a 5-2 win over the Hartford Wolf Pack back Nov. 11. A native of Woodville, Ontario, the 6-foot-5, 215-pound forward has also appeared in 33 contests with the Jackals this season, collecting 16 points (9+7), including six (3+3) over his last five appearances for Elmira.
Kea was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the third round (73rd overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
