Sabres Re-sign Adam and Hackett

Rochester, NY - Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier today announced that the Sabres have re-signed forward Luke Adam and goaltender Matt Hackett to one-year contracts.
Adam (6'2", 206 lbs., 6/18/90) appeared in four games with the Sabres last season, scoring one goal (1+0). In addition to his time in Buffalo, the St John's, Newfoundland native appeared in 67 games for the Rochester Americans (AHL) last season, collecting 37 points (15+22). Over the past three seasons, Adam appeared in 75 career NHL games, picking up 25 points (14+11).
Adam was selected by the Sabres in the second round (44th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Hackett (6'2", 173 lbs., 3/7/90) appeared in three regular season games with the Americans last season after being acquired last season in a trade with the Minnesota Wild. The London, Ontario native compiled a 22-20-3 record with a 2.59 goals-against average last year in games with Houston (AHL) and Rochester. Overall, Hackett has appeared in 13 NHL games, including one last season (0-1-0). Hackett is 3-7-0 with a 2.64 GAA in his NHL career.
Hackett was selected by Minnesota in the third round (77th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
