Rylan Parenteau makes 39 saves in overtime victory

Prince Albert, SK - Jesse Lees potted the game-winning goal just 15 seconds into overtime to propel the Prince Albert Raiders to a 2-1 victory over the Swift Current Broncos at the Art Hauser Centre on Saturday night.

After a scoreless first period, Simon Stransky netted the game's first goal at 8:55 of the second period. Lees and Austin Glover collected helpers.

Swift Current tied the game at the 13:32 mark of the middle frame when Jon Martin found the back of the net. Jayden Gordon and Sahvan Khaira had assists.

The Raiders ended the game with a power play goal in overtime as Lees wired a wrist shot from the blue line past the Broncos' netminder. Stransky and Glover registered assists on the game winner.

Rylan Parenteau was spectacular in the Prince Albert crease as he turned away 39 of 40 shots on goal. Travis Child made 29 saves on 31 shots for Swift Current.

The Broncos outshot the Raiders 40-31. Prince Albert went 1-for-3 on the power play, while Swift Current was 0-for-6.

The Raiders improve their record to 37-24-7-1, while the Broncos fall to 24-36-6-3.

The Raiders are on the road for their next game on Wednesday, March 16, when they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors. Prince Albert closes out the home portion of their regular season schedule on Friday, March 18, as they host the Saskatoon Blades. One lucky fan will win a Can-Am ATV or Ski-Doo snowmobile!
