Ryan Kinasewich Named To All ECHL 1st Team

Victoria, British Columbia - The ECHL announced today that Utah captain Ryan Kinasewich has been selected to the All ECHL 1st Team for the 2009-2010 season.

The fifth-year Utah forward leads the ECHL with 46 goals and 313 shots. He is also tied for the league lead with 41 power-play points and second in the league with 99 points and 43 assists. Kinasewich was selected this year as a starter for the ECHL All-Star game and was also named an assistant captain.

On November 14, 2008, the 26-year-old became the all-time leading scorer in the history of the organization with a five-point night against Las Vegas. In 237 career games with Utah, the forward has totaled 151 goals and 201 assists for 352 points in 237 games. He has recorded multiple-points in 30 games played this year, including 13 games of three points or more. Kinasewich has eight multiple-point games in the Grizzlies last 11 games played total.

Utah at 33-28-4-5 and unbeaten in their last five games at 4-0-0-1; clinched a playoff berth Wednesday with a 2-1 win in Victoria. They return to action Friday and Saturday in Canada with face-off both evenings scheduled for 8:05 p.m.

November 2, 2005: Grizzlies acquire Ryan Kinasewich from Reading in exchange for future considerations.

November 18, 2005: Kinasewich makes Utah debut in 2-1 win over Phoenix.

November 19, 2005: Kinasewich scores first two Utah points with two assists in 4-2 win over Phoenix.

December 17, 2005: Kinasewich logs first of nine hat tricks with the Grizzlies in 6-5 overtime win at Idaho.

February 25, 2006: Kinasewich sets team record with 13 shots on goal in game in San Diego.

March 3, 2006: Kinasewich is named ECHL Player of the Month with 10 goals and 16 assists for 26 points in 14 games as Grizzlies went 10-2-2, their best month since joining the ECHL. Kinasewich was also named Player of the Week twice during the 2005-2006 season.

December 18-January 14, 2006: Kinasewich is named ECHL Player of the Week twice in a four-week span.

February 14, 2007: Kinasewich suffers season-ending injury at E-Center against Fresno. Team fizzles down stretch and misses playoffs for only time since joining the ECHL.

November 3, 2007: Kinasewich earns first AHL call-up in Utah after hat trick in 8-5 win at Las Vegas November 2. He spends 24 games with Bridgeport before returning to Utah January 8.

January 16, 2008: Kinasewich sets Grizzlies history with six points in a game as he logged one goal and five assists in 6-3 win over Phoenix.

April-May 2008: Kinasewich leads the Grizzlies to the National Conference Finals, as they make their longest playoff run since 1995-96; tallying eight goals and four assists in 12 games.

February 5, 2009: Kinasewich is loaned to Lake Erie and later to the AHL's Hamilton Bulldogs, but sustained a season-ending injury on February 22, 2009.

April 5, 2009: Kinasewich miraculously rejoins Grizzlies for playoffs.

September 8, 2009: Kinasewich re-signs for fifth season in Utah three goals and 25 points away from tying team records for scoring and points.

October 16, 2009: Kinasewich nets hat trick in season-opening 5-3 win in Las Vegas, tying Chris Taylor with 111 career goals in a Utah sweater.

October 24, 2009: Kinasewich ties and surpasses Taylor with career Utah goals 112 and 113 to become all-time team leader in goals.

November 5, 2009: Kinasewich is named the league's Player of the Month after logging nine goals and five assists for 14 points in five October games.

November 14, 2009: Kinasewich sets history in second period tying and surpassing Chris Taylor with career points 278 and 279. In the third period, he completed the hat trick for his 280th point as Utah defeated Las Vegas 8-3 to improve to 8-4. His second period goal put him past Chris Taylor with his 19th game-winning goal in team history.

January 20, 2010: Kinasewich participates in ECHL All-Star game as starter and assistant captain in Ontario, California.

March 31, 2010: Kinasewich ties Kip Miller for the most goals in a season in Grizzlies history when he nets a second period power-play goal to tie the contest at one.

April 1, 2010: Kinasewich is named to the All ECHL First Team.
