Reading Royals News Release

Reading, PA - The Reading Royals of the ECHL, affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League and the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, today announced the team's training camp schedule, which kicks off on Friday, October 6, and concludes ten days later after the 'home-and-home-away from home' pre-season series against the Trenton Titans. The on-ice training camp practices are open to the public, beginning with a double session (10:00 am - 12:00 noon; and 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm) on October 6 at the Body Zone Sports and Wellness Complex (3103 Papermill Road, Wyomissing, PA; 610-376-2100). The camp then shifts to the Sovereign Center, where the team will practice (schedule noted below) and hold a controlled intra-squad scrimmage (Sunday, October 8, 10:30 am) leading up to Pre-Season Game One (v. Titans, Saturday, October 14, at 7:05 pm at the Body Zone). The team will take a slight breather on the afternoon of Monday, October 9, when the players will break out another type of stick for the "Swing Into The Season" charity golf tournament at the Heidelberg Country Club, which will benefit the Make-A-Wish FoundationÒ of Greater Pennsylvania and which is open to tournament participants only. The back-end of the pre-season series with the Titans will be held on Sunday, October 15 (3:00 pm), at the Grundy Recreation Center (475 Beaver Road, Bristol, Pennsylvania; 215-788-3311). The Royals will conclude training camp on Monday, October 16, with final cuts.

All tickets for Pre-Season Game One against the Titans are general admission and will go on sale on Monday, September 18.
