Everett, WA - The Victoria Royals were tripped up by the Everett Silvertips 3-2 on Friday night at the Angel of the Winds Arena.

With the Kelowna Rockets' 5-2 win over the Vancouver Giants tonight, Victoria clinched home-ice advantage in their first round playoff series versus Vancouver.

Make it 100 - Royals' forward Tanner Kaspick recorded his 100th career WHL assist in the third period. The St. Louis Blues' signed prospect has collected 158 career points (58g-100a) in 215 WHL games split between the Brandon Wheat Kings and Victoria.

Familiar Face - Victoria battled a former Royal tonight as Spencer Gerth played for Everett and earned an assist. The product of Langley, BC played in 90 career games for Victoria from 2016-2018 and registered seven points (3g-4a). The Royals traded Gerth to the Silvertips at the 2018 WHL Trade Deadline in exchange for a seventh round pick in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.

On Fire - A pair of skaters extended their point streaks tonight. Veteran Tyler Soy now has points in six straight games and has registered 12 points (4g-8a) during that span. Tanner Kaspick has recorded four points (2g-2a) in his previous three contests.
