Royals Ready for 'Thirsty Thursdays' at the Sovereign Center

Reading, PA -The Reading Royals of the ECHL and SAVOR...Reading Catering By SMG, the Food & Beverage provider for the Sovereign Center in Reading, Pennsylvania, today announced several food and beverage special offers for Royals' home games this season, including the latest value to help Royals' fans wet their whistle for a win: Thirsty Thursdays. During Thursday night home games for the Royals this season-including the season opener on Thursday, October 15, 2009 (v. Kalamazoo Wings @ 7:05 pm)-select draft beer is just $2.00. The newest addition to the Sovereign Center's food and beverage line-up, All-Star Wings, will also help fans work up their thirst on those Thirsty Thursdays by offering a special order of a dozen chicken wings for just $2.00. (This All-Star Wings' special offer is limited to 'Thirsty Thursdays' only, and this offer is limited to one order of wings per customer at each of the Thirsty Thursday games.) In addition to Opening Night, the Royals have three other ‘Thirsty Thursdays' this year: Thursday, October 29 (v. Toledo Walleye); Thursday, March 4 (v. Kalamazoo Wings); and Thursday, March 18 (v. Charlotte Checkers).

Thursday night home games this season also qualify for one the Royals' most popular food and beverage values over the past several seasons: the team's special $1.00 Weekday Menu. This year, as with the past couple seasons, during any Monday through Thursday Royals' home game, fans can purchase a hot dog, an order of nachos, a box of popcorn, and a soda for just $1.00 a piece. The Royals have a total of nine weekday games at the Sovereign Center this year, including a Monday matinee against the Trenton Titans on the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday (Monday, January 18, 2010 @ 1:05 pm). Also, as with last season, for any Royals' home game this year-including the team's weekend games-fans can tap into another great food and beverage value: the Berks Packing Family Four-Pack under which you get four Royals' tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas for just $49.00.
