Langley, BC - The Victoria Royals earned a 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Giants as Tanner Kaspick scored the game winner in the sixth round of the shootout on Friday night.

Scoring: Royals - Dante Hannoun 1g-0a, Jeff de Wit 1g-0a, Tyler Soy 1g-0a, Matthew Phillips 0g-1a, Scott Walford 0g-1a, Igor Martynov 0g-1a, Mitchell Prowse 0g-1a, Tanner Kaspick (Shootout Winner). Vancouver - Ty Ronning 2g-0a, Owen Hardy 0g-2a, Tyler Benson 0g-2a, Dylan Plouffe 1g-0a, Brennan Riddle 0g-1a, Kaleb Bulych 0g-1a.

Goaltending: Royals - Griffen Outhouse (W) - 65:00 Mins, 40 saves on 43 shot. Vancouver - David Tendeck (SOL) - 65:00 Mins, 22 saves on 25 shots.

Power Play: Royals - 1/250.0%. Vancouver - 0/20.0%.

Notes: Extra Time - The Royals competed in their third shootout of the year tonight and have earned a 2-1 record. Victoria's other shootout victory also came against Vancouver on Saturday, October 28, 2017. Road Wins - Victoria collected their 12th road victory tonight. This is the third-most in the Western Conference, and fifth-highest mark in the WHL. On Fire - A pair of Royals' skaters extended their point streaks tonight. Matthew Phillips is riding a seven-game streak where he has recorded 13 points (3g-10a). Dante Hannoun meanwhile, has six points (5g-1a) over his past four contests. Welcome to the Club - Tanner Kaspick has enjoyed success with Victoria since his acquisition from the Brandon Wheat Kings. In four games, the forward has earned three points (2g-1a) and scored tonight's shootout winner.
